Service Description

Since Hurricane Katrina, the Greater New Orleans area has lacked municipal curbside recycling service. Limited drop off options are available, but it is inefficient for individuals to bring material versus a single truck making the trip on their behalf. It diminishes the impact of recycling the material.

Phoenix Recycling offers a fee-based service. People ask "why are you are charging me to collect material that you will sell?" While there is value in the material, there is more cost in processing. We pay fair wages and vacation benefits to our employees, we carry all required insurance and comply with all local, State and Federal licensing requirements. So we have to charge to cover those costs.

We periodically adjust the materials we accept based on market conditions. We will post these changes on our web site and inform active customers by email when this list changes.

We are temporarily unable to accept any glass.  There are virtually no markets for glass and while we are working on solutions, nothing is imminent.

Residential Fees

Every other week service

Price based on location. Call or e-mail for quote.

Every other week (neighborhood association members) $1/month off
On call or one-per-month service - 2 meduim size garbage cans worth of material or less. (Make a note in the special instructions portion of the sign-up form) $10/pickup

 

Commercial Fees

Terms of Service

Billing and Account Auto-Renewal

We send all invoices through email. We bill quarterly and send monthly reminders if there is a balance. We do not require a contract. We do expect that you will remain active in the service and continue to pay.

Your account will auto renew every quarter. Should you wish to cancel service at any time, notify us in advance as described in the Cancellation Policy.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your service at any time by any of these methods:

We require three days notice before your next scheduled pickup. If your account has a positive balance at the time of cancellation we will refund you the prorated, unused portion of your balance.

Refund Policy

If you cancel your service, we will refund any unused balanced as described in the Cancellation Policy.

We will also refund or credit your account for missed scheduled pickups if your materials were put out for collection before 5:30 AM on the scheduled collection date and we were unable to reschedule in a timely manner.

Missed Pickups Policy

You must put out your materials for collection by no later than 5:30 AM on your scheduled collection date. If we skip your pickup because you did not put out your materials in time, you may request that we return to your address later that same day. We will honor these requests at our discretion and for an additional fee of $5.00.

Delivery/Shipping Policy

For any tangible products that we may sell, we will ship only to domestic addresses via FedEx. We will charge our actual shipping costs, with an estimated shipping time of one week.

Site Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy.  We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties except as required to conduct certain transactions (such as credit card charges).  Our full privacy is available here.
